The flowering threeSadly, the ice and wind from last night's storm took a toll on the trees out back.

The tall one in the photo on the right, lost a huge branch, and on the way down took out more than half the flowing tree in the foreground.

The flowering threeVery sad, it looks pretty bad, I hope they don't chop down the remaining part. But for sure the back porch will not be the same with out it's huge flowers filling the space in the spring and fall.

Hey there Max! Sorry to here about your magnolia tree. The shots you took of it are amazing. Hope that it makes it through. The flowers have an almost too beautiful, primitive feeling to them.

Plus...I love the life sketches on the post below. Some real beauties there. Your brush work is terrific.
